About Us
Bettie and Tyrone McLaurin both served their country as part of the U.S. Army. The company’s inception grew from what they witnessed firsthand – the need to focus more on customer service for our warfighters.
In 2002, the opportunity to start their own company arose when Tyrone was presented with the opportunity by a government agency to support the war effort in Iraq. The prime contractor’s corporate policy prevented them from deploying personnel into combat and hostile work zones. Along with a partner, they set up a port operation to support the warfighters as they came across the “burn” into Iraq from Kuwait. The company morphed into Solution One, Inc in May 2003.
As former service members, the founders understand the plight of the customers we serve, the challenges of operating in hostile environments, the need to defend the rights of those who wear our uniforms, and be good ambassadors to the countries we are serving in.
Why the name Solution One? We strive to provide a solution to every problem. We understand our clients’ challenges and focus on bringing the right talent to resolve those challenges with the right solutions.
Our passion, our drive, and our depth for what we believe in set us apart. We – Bettie, Tyone, and our team – were once in the field. We’ve been there and done that. We have served alongside the warfighters. They are our brothers and sisters.
